Rockssandra: weed & fertilize via chickens — I read a great post on another site. A lady laid out her garden beds in small plots the same size as her chicken tractor. When it is planting time, she parks the tractor over the first plot, for about two weeks ( probably four in Puna, where the greenery grows thicker than steel plates) and the chooks scratch and peck and eat the weeds down to the dirt, pooping and fertilizing all the while…
